Vacation

Just For Fun

“My sister and her kids came to visit from New Zealand and we thought Calaway Park would be fun.”

The New Guy

“That time my mother thought it would be a great idea to take us to Madam Tussaud’s to meet her new eight foot Slash lookalike boyfriend for the first time.”

Back to the Beach

“Then is a picture of my brother and I in Beach Haven, New Jersey. We recreated it 40 years later.”

The Clash

“This family picture was taken around 1989, not 1969 as the hairstyles and tacky wallpaper might lead you to believe. Though this is my immediate family (I’m the girl with her eyes closed), fortunately this is not our house. Between my mom’s perm, my dad’s dejected slouch, my sister’s broken wrist and mid-chew expression, and the world’s most hideous interior design, this picture is bursting with awkwardness!”

Maui Meltdown

“My family was leaving Maui after a 3 week stay to go back to cold, rainy Canada. I had a major meltdown at the airport. As you can see, my mother is not impressed, my sister is amused, and my Dad took it as a photo opportunity.”

Oh, Canada

“This is a photo of my cousin, her brother and dad. She’s not sure exactly where it was taken. Obviously at a lake, and somewhere in Florida. Funny thing is (other than my uncle selecting this boat to pose for a picture with his kids) my aunt was the one taking the pic. My cousin sent this to me saying, “Wouldn’t this be perfect on Awkward Family Photos?” Why, yes. Yes it would.”

World’s Largest Sausage

“That’s my husband and kids posing in front of the world’s largest sausage one summer on a road trip through western Canada.”

Whale Watching

“I took my boys to Iceland and we took a trip to The Phallic Museum. They were less than thrilled.”

Up A Creek

“My husband purchased land for an off-road park. While out for a “work day” his friend managed to drive his bronco into a creek and got stuck. They later posed for a picture not realizing the bronco, now permanently parked in the creek was in the shot. This is what happens on “daddy daughter day!”

Disney Plus

“Our first family trip to Disney when I was 3. We had some mixed emotions.”
